The scope of work on line 133 included comprehensive modernization of the route and 2 railway stations Trzebinia and Krzeszowice. As part of it, the modernization included, among others: approx. 60 km of track and 108 turnouts, 10 platforms at 2 stations and 2 branch stops were rebuilt, a total of 50 engineering structures were built/rebuilt. In addition, a signalling control rooms were built at the Trzebina and Krzeszowice stations, and the executing signalling control room was renovated at the Trzebina station.
As a result of the works, passenger trains can run on this route at a speed of 160 km/h, and freight trains – 120 km/h.
