Welding complex machine

Welding complex machine

It’s a two-way machine (which might be operating both on the road and rails) for performing rail joints in the track by means of electro-strength welding, together with the welding process recording. The welding module is mounted on a four-axis DAF car undercarriage, also equipped with an undercarriage fitted for railway. The whole welding set does not exceed the gauge. The uniqueness of this machine is its mobility, and to be more precise, the ability to be quickly moved between various construction sites by roads, which, in turn, increases productivity. Having a two-way welding system allowed TORPOL S.A. to eliminate a separate stage of welding rails from track works’ schedule, which shortened the technological process of construction. An additional advantage is a modern type of welding head – K922-1, due to which the welding process is repetitive and recorded, and the welding parameters do not deviate from the parameters of welds made by fixed welding machines, and finally, do not reduce the features of a CWR track. Currently, the Company is equipped with two such vehicles.
