105th anniversary celebrations of the Wielkopolska Uprising

The celebrations of the 105th anniversary of the victorious Wielkopolska Uprising will traditionally begin on 26 December with a staging of Ignacy Jan Paderewski’s historic arrival in Poznan. We invite you to Poznań Summer Railway Station, where at 4 p.m. we will jointly welcome the Maestro, whose role will be played by a Nowy Teatr actor, Andrzej Lajborek. The musical setting will be provided by Ryszard Łuczak together with the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Poznań Teachers’ Choir.

The staging will conclude with a ride on the route Poznań Główny – Swarzędz – Poznań Główny with Ignacy Jan Paderewski, in special retro wagons of the era, provided by Koleje Wielkopolskie. Departure of the historic train with the Maestro to Swarzędz is planned for 4:45 p.m., and return to Poznań at 6:39 p.m. Tickets for the train ride, priced at PLN 10 (return), can be purchased online at: https://bilet.wielkopolskiebilety.pl/
