TORPOL S.A. supports the construction of the new Museum of the Greater Poland Uprising 1918-1919
TORPOL S.A. has made a monetary donation of PLN 150,000 to the Greater Poland Independence Museum. The funds will be used to support the institution’s statutory activities, with particular emphasis on the construction and promotion of the new headquarters for the Museum of the Greater Poland Uprising of 1918–1919. The newly constructed facility in the center of Poznań already has solid foundations, and its grand opening to the first visitors is scheduled for 2028. The company’s involvement in this project is a continuation of a long-standing partnership focused on cultivating local identity and historical memory.
“We have been working with the museum for many years, supporting various initiatives, including the most important one, undoubtedly the construction of a new museum. We want to help create a place that will remind us of the values and ideals dear to us all, such as freedom, solidarity, and responsibility for a shared future. We believe that the new museum will become not only a monument of remembrance, but above all, a living inspiration for future generations” – emphasized Marcin Zachariasz, the Vice President of the Management Board for Financial Affairs at TORPOL S.A.
The museum’s management also emphasizes the fruitful, nearly decade-long collaboration.
“I am extremely pleased that TORPOL has been with us continuously for nine years on this long journey from the idea of building the museum to its ever-closer completion” – summarized Przemysław Terlecki, the Director of the Greater Poland Museum of Independence. “It is also a very strong foundation that allows us to realize our dreams, create excellent exhibitions, publish interesting books, responsibly and professionally educate the younger generation. And most importantly, thanks to this partnership, we can effectively reach Poles and visitors from abroad with the history of one of the few victorious national uprisings in our homeland. I trust that together with Torpol, we will open the new building of the Museum, and that together we will disseminate the fascinating, still little-known story of Greater Poland’s road to independence” – Mr. Terlecki added.
