Seaport access in Szczecin and Świnoujście

As part of the development of rail access to seaports in Szczecin and Świnoujście, the Company is carrying out two public orders – the first one includes the development of designs and execution of construction works at Szczecin Central Port Station for about PLN 936 million excl. VAT (PLN 1.2 billion gross), while the second envisages the works at Świnoujście Seaport Station for about PLN 508 excl. VAT million (PLN 625 million gross). The completion date is 31 months from the day following the contract conclusion. The period of quality guarantee and warranty for defects has been established for 60 months from the day of final acceptance.

Under the project, 61 km of tracks will be built at Szczecin Port station, of which nearly 5 km at Szczecin Port. 12 railway and road crossings will be modernized. The new 177 crossings will have electric heating devices, which will enable failure-free operation during low temperatures. The works will enhance the reloading capacity of the Szczecin Port station, provide access for trains directly to selected areas of the port.

Meanwhile, 34 km of tracks will be built at the Świnoujście station, of which 2 km at the Świnoujście Seaport. 10 crossings will be modernized and 108 crossings will be replaced. Modern rail traffic control devices will be installed, which will increase the level of transport safety. The investment will enable longer and heavier trains to run, which will affect the development of the Maritime Port in Świnoujście.
