Railway line E 75 Rail Baltica

Railway line E 75 Rail Baltica

Project details:

The E75 railway line is a part of the trans-European corridor that connects Warsaw via Kaunas and Riga to Tallinn and Helsinki, and is the only railway connection of the Baltic States with Poland and other European Union countries.

The scope of the public order envisaged the preparation of the project and comprehensive modernization of the line on the Rembertów – Zielonka – Tłuszcz (Sadowne) section, i.e. over 66 km long.

The scope of work included replacement, reconstruction and construction of all elements of railway infrastructure. As part of the task, multi-level crossings were also built and rail level crossings were eliminated. After the completion of the work, passenger trains can develop a travel speed of up to 160km/h.

Moreover, on the section Zielonka – Wołomin Słoneczna an additional pair of tracks for suburban traffic has been created under the investment. Such a solution will allow for running long-distance and agglomeration trains on separate tracks – as a result, it will enable more efficient management of intensified railway traffic.
