Torpol Racing Team – a successful finale to the Solid MTB series

On 26 September, the final edition of the Solid MTB 2021 marathon series took place in Krzywiń. The Torpol Racing Team appeared at the starting line in a 7-person line-up: Iza, Marta, Dominika, Ela, Przemek, Tomek and Piotr. Most of our cyclists, including a newcomer to the team – Marta, tried their luck at the minimal distance (about 30km with 330m of climbing). The weather was favourable for a solid race, and the route turned out to be very fast and technically quite easy, which forced us to maintain a very high pace for most of the race.

The following places were achieved in the competition at the Mini distance: Iza – 67 open and 1st in the cat. K3, Marta – 171 open and 6th in the cat. K2, Ela – 172 open and 6th in the cat. K3, Dominika – 173 open and 5th in the cat. K4, Piotr – 68 open and 19th in the cat. M3, Przemek – 105 open and 37th in the cat. M4. However, on the Mega distance (approx. 40km, elevation 450m), Tomek, the only participant, ranked 39th in the open and 14th in the cat. M4.

The final edition of Solid MTB, apart from the decoration for the stage in Krzywin, ended with a summary of the whole series of 12 marathons and the decoration in the general classification. The first place among women was taken by our contestant Iza Dorynek. Thanks to diligent and regular training, which resulted in winning 4 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals, Iza earned her gold in the general classification. We sincerely congratulate Iza and wish her much success in the next season!
